Four deaths, 1292 new Covid cases reported in U’khand
The state now has 5009 active cases of Covid-19 with Dehradun at top with 1506 cases

Apart from being virulent the contagion of the Covid-19 is becoming fatal in Uttarakhand. The state health department reported death of four patients in Uttarakhand on Monday. These deaths increased the death toll from the disease to 7429 so far. The health department reported 1292 new cases of the disease in the state on Monday.
The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,52, 177 while a total of 3,32,949 patients have recovered from the disease so far. The recovery percentage from the disease has dropped further to 94.54 per cent while the sample positivity rate is 7.57 per cent.
The state health department reported 441 new patients from Dehradun, 254 from Nainital, 220 from Haridwar, 193 from Udham Singh Nagar, 56 from Pauri, 36 from Almora, 28 from Tehri, 15 from Chamoli, 14 from Rudraprayag, 12 from Pithoragarh, nine from Uttarkashi and seven each from Bageshwar and Champawat on Monday, 10 January 2022 and seven each from Bageshwar and Champawat on Monday.
The state now has 5009 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 1506 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Haridwar has 1161 active cases of the disease which is followed by Nainital district with 1155 active cases. Udham Singh Nagar has 529 and Pauri 120 active cases of the disease. Rudraprayag with 25 active cases is at the bottom of the table in the state.
In the ongoing vaccination drive 60,563 people were vaccinated in 1130 sessions in the state held on Monday.
