Free precautionary vaccination campaign commences in U’khand

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami started the free precautionary dose vaccination programme for the 18 to 59 year old population in Uttarakhand by getting himself vaccinated at Gandhi centenary district hospital on Friday. Speaking on the occasion he said that the state government has made all arrangements for the precautionary vaccination and everyone should take part in the drive. He said that vaccination is the biggest weapon in our hands to combat the pandemic of Covid-19. Dhami appealed that every citizen of the state who is above 18 years of age should get vaccinated with the precautionary dose and encourage others for the same.  He said that our country fought bravely with the pandemic of Covid-19 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

 “ Under the leadership of the PM, India carried out a mega campaign of vaccination and as a humanitarian measure India provided the Covid-19 vaccine to many countries of the world. We should not forget that the pandemic has lessened but it has not finished as yet. We should continue observing Covid appropriate behaviour, maintain sanitation, create awareness and get vaccinated to prevent the spread of the disease,’’ he said.

 The health minister Dhan Singh Rawat, health secretary Radhika Jha and others were present on the occasion.
