French varsities interested in collaborating with Doon Univ

The embassy of the French government has shown keen interest in Fresh universities entering into an understanding with Doon University here for research in climate change and study of French language. In a meeting held on Friday with the Vice Chancellor (VC) of Doon University Surekha Dangwal, Stephane Crouzat and Emmanuelle Lumbrandian of embassy of France showed keen interest in the courses of French language and research in subjects such as climate change, glacier and Himalayas of the university.
The duo offered that the universities of France can enter into an understanding with the varsity for research in these fields. The former VC of HNB Garhwal University S P Singh who was present in the meeting said that climate change is a major subject of research and to understand it better one should understand the structure of Himalayas. Noted Geologist Navin Juyan said that climate change on a global scale is responsible for melting and receding glaciers.
The dean student welfare H C Purohit, M S Mandrawal and others were present on the occasion.
