The Forest Research Institute (FRI) celebrated International Day of Forests here on Monday. On this occasion an exhibition was organised in the FRI main building on the theme of forests and sustainable production and consumption. The exhibition was inaugurated by the institute’s director in-charge RP Singh.
Scientific and technical knowledge was provided to the public through various means in this exhibition. Various divisions of the institute displayed their works and developments through posters and other displays in the exhibition. Essay writing and painting competitions were also held for school students while all museums on campus were kept open for free on the occasion.
