A youth from Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh was allegedly stabbed by his friend during a dispute near Dussehra Ground in Premnagar on Saturday. The injured youth has been identified as Muzaffarnagar resident Krishna Malik (25). Police said that Malik had come to Dehradun with his friend Shivanand alias Shiva, a resident of Sisoli village in Muzaffarnagar, to spend the day. During their visit, the two reportedly got into an argument which soon escalated into a fight. During the scuffle, Shiva allegedly attacked Malik in the stomach with a sharp object and fled from the spot. People present nearby took the injured man to the hospital. After primary treatment the doctors referred him to a higher medical centre for further treatment.
Police said that Malik’s condition is stable. His family has been informed about the incident. Police teams have been formed to search for the accused.
