The Uttarakhand government would send a proposal to the union government for according the status of central university to G B Pant University of Agriculture and Technology Pantnagar. A committee headed by the chief secretary would be constituted in this regard. This and many other decisions were taken by the Uttarakhand cabinet on Friday. The cabinet meeting was held during the lunch break of the fifth day of the Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha. The cabinet decided to make amendments in the Uttarakhand accounting manual to implement a double accounting system in all the local bodies. A decision to select the Uttarakhand State Bridge Corporation as the executive agency was taken in the meeting.
The cabinet decided that all the cases involving arbitration would be settled by a three member committee headed by a retired judge of the high court. The cabinet also promulgated Uttarakhand Land property (regulation and development),
( general) regulation 2017. It was decided to prepare Uttarakhand population survey and procedure regulations- 2021 for fast disposal of works related to Swamitva Yojna and incorporating necessary amendments section 14 (5) and 18 (2) in the Uttarakhand population survey and procedure regulations-2020. The cabinet also gave its nod to the proposal for selection of a prominent agency for Kedarnath and Badrinath reconstruction. It was decided that decisions at the level of Directorate would be taken on cases relating to simplification of the self assessment in the mining related issues. The Cabinet decided to give authority to the district magistrates (DM) concerned for works of Rs 2 crore to 5 crore after necessary technical examination under the Jal Jiwan Mission.
