Governor lieutenant general (retd) Gurmit Singh administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed chief justice of Uttarakhand High Court, Guhanathan Narendar on Thursday. In a solemn ceremony organised at Raj Bhawan, the chief secretary Radha Raturi read the letter appointing Narendar as the chief justice of the Uttarakhand HC.
Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, first lady of the State Gurmit Kaur, cabinet ministers Subodh Uniyal, Dhan Singh Rawat, former chief minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Haridwar MP and ex-CM Trivendra Singh Rawat, director general of police Deepam Seth, registrar general of Uttarakhand HC Kahkasha Khan and senior officers of the State administration attended the ceremony.
