Ganesh Joshi visits hospitals, meets injured in road accident

The state minister Ganesh Joshi reached the Doon Hospital and Max Hospital to see how those injured in the Mussoorie road accident were being treated. He asked the doctors and others working in the hospitals to ensure the best possible treatment for the injured. He further said investigation was being held into the cause of the accident and the next of kin of the deceased would be given Rs 4 lakh each. “Now the state government is concerned with the proper treatment of those injured,” he said, adding that the CM is being informed of the treatment of the injured from time to time.   

Notably, a 40-year-old woman and her teenage daughter were killed while about 36 persons were injured when an Uttarakhand Transport Corporation bus they were travelling in from Mussoorie to Dehradun fell into a gorge. About 40 people were learnt to be present in the bus at the time of the accident.
