In latest news from Uttarakhand, BJP MLA from Gangotri Suresh Singh Chauhan distributed multi-purpose kits to some economically unprivileged workers. The programme was organised in collaboration with the State labour department at his camp office. Those present on the occasion said that a number of poor workers from remote villages received the kits. In his address, the MLA made the people aware of multiple welfare schemes rolled out by the Centre and the State government for the welfare of the workers. A senior labour department officer Poonam Rana and Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangathan president Brijpal Singh were present.
During the event, the kits distributed to the women workers included pads, umbrellas and blankets.
