Garhwal commissioner reviews arrangements of Char Dham Yatra

The Garhwal Commissioner Sushil Kumar held a meeting with the officials of various departments on Monday in Rishikesh to discuss and review the arrangements for the Char Dham Yatra. The officials from the Department of Tourism informed that they have developed an App called Tourist Care System where pilgrims can register themselves online before initiating Char Dham Yatra. This app will also provide data of private vehicles used by the pilgrims and it will also let the user know about updated status of weather and roads during the period of Char Dham Yatra. Kumar also instructed the officials concerned of all departments to make the best possible arrangements for Yatra as the number of pilgrims are expected to exceed this year than the past two years.

He also directed the health department to relieve the doctors and medical staff deployed for Yatra on time to ensure they join the duty in the given time with adequate medical equipment and medicines provided by the department. He also directed them to take help of voluntary organisations to provide better health facilities on the routes of Char Dham. He also directed to provide proper sanitation facilities on all Char Dham routes and monitor it regularly.

Inspector General of Police (Garhwal Zone) S Nagnyal, Dehradun district magistrate (DM) R Rajesh Kumar, Dehradun DIG and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Janamjeya Khanduri, Chamoli DM Himanshu Khurana, Rudraprayag DM Manuj Goyal, Tehri DM Eva Ashish Srivastava and other officials were also present in the meeting.
