The Garhwal commissioner Sushil Kumar retired from the service on Friday. A ceremony was organised in Commissioner Office Pauri on the day to bid farewell to the officer.
Speaking on the occasion Kumar said that he had very pleasant experience of working in the different administrative posts and said that he got full cooperation from the subordinates and higher authorities.
The District Magistrate of Pauri, Ashish Chauhan said that Commissioner Sushil Kumar has been the source of inspiration for everyone. The Senior Superintendent of Police Pauri Shweta Choubey expressed her best wishes to Kumar and asked everyone to take inspiration from him.
Kumar started his career in the Indian Army as a captain. He later joined the State Civil Service and was appointed as deputy collector in Hapur ,Ghaziabad in January 1995. He was promoted to the cadre of IAS in the year 2005 and was appointed as DM of Pithoragarh. Kumar held many positions in the administration which included Commissioner of Kumaon and Garhwal.
