GBPUAT students excel at national level debate competition

The debating team of the Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUAT) bagged the second and third prizes in the 16th National Debate Competition held at Sardar Bhagwan Singh University in Dehradun. The topic of the debate was ‘A standardised curriculum can effectively address the diverse needs of 21st century learners.’ Representing the university, Samishta Bhatt and Shambhavi secured the second and third positions respectively. Over 40 teams from across the country participated in the debate.
Expressing appreciation, the university officials said that they had enhanced its reputation. Among those who congratulated the winners were the vice-chancellor, Manmohan Singh Chauhan and the dean, Student Welfare, A S Jeena.
