The education minister of Uttarakhand Arvind Pandey has directed the officers of his department to get active on the Fee act. The act designed to put a rein on the fees of the private schools was on the back burner for the last three years. The minister gave this order in a meeting of the officers of the department at Vidhan Sabha on Thursday.
In the meeting the issue of reopening of the primary schools was also discussed. It was also decided to set up a monitoring cell for the upcoming Atal Utkrisht Schools. The state government plans to set up two such schools in every block. In an important decision it was decided that the serving Shiksha Mitras who had cleared the TET examination before March 2019 would be given a weightage of 25 marks in the process of selection of assistant teachers.
