In latest news from Doon, police have lodged cases against 400 people who blocked roads near the Ghanta Ghar while protesting against the arrest of the Bajrang Dal leader Vikash Verma in the aftermath of the communal group clash and arson that happened at Dehradun railway station over the presence of an interfaith couple. Police said they are now identifying the persons involved in the road blockade through scanning CCTV footages.
Notably, the road blockade stir went on for close to four hours, leaving the commuters stuck in traffic jams. Traders of the Paltan Bazaar and others led the stir, police said.
