Under the skill development and awareness programme, 85 students and teachers of PM Shri Atal Utkrisht Government Girls Inter College, Kelakhera in Udham Singh Nagar district made an educational visit to Uttarakhand Council for Biotechnology in Haldi. The visiting students were informed about biotechnology, research and its future prospects by a team led by the UCB director Sanjay Kumar. The coordinator Manindra Mohan took the students on a tour of modern laboratories and made them aware of the nuances of research in biotechnology. The scientific assistant, Anuj Kumar informed the students about making saplings through plant tissue culture method. The technical officers Jitendra Bohra and Anuj John explained the procedure of water and soil testing to the students in detail.
