Girls continue to dominate boys in UVSP board exam results

As expected the girls again outperformed boys in the results of the class X and XII board examinations of Uttarakhand Vidhyalayi Shiksha Parishad (UVSP) released on Saturday. In class X, 96.07 per cent girls cleared the examinations as compared to 88.03 per cent of boys. In class XII, 88.09 per cent girls and 81.93 per cent boys cleared the examination.

 The much awaited board result was released by Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat and Secondary Education director Mukul Kumar Sati at the UVSP head office in Ramnagar.

Expressing happiness at the board results, minister Rawat said that due to the efforts of all the officers, teachers and employees the results of Uttarakhand Board were released on time.

 Secondary Education director Sati informed that a total of 2,15,252 students were enrolled in the class X and XII board examinations this year out of them 1,12,266 students were enrolled in class X while 1,02,986 were registered for class XII examinations.  He said that 92.10 per cent students cleared the class X and 85.11 per cent passed the class XII examination this year.

The UVSP also released the result of its improvement examination (II) of 2025 in which 847 candidates were registered.  In class X, 239 out of 382 candidates cleared the improvement examination while 279 out of 464 class XII passed in the improvement examination. Sati further informed that the complete results of board examinations have been uploaded on the website of the board www.ubse.uk.gov.in.

 In class X, 28.20 per cent students secured first division 42.86 per cent got second division while 13.75 per cent got third division marks. Compared to last year the overall pass percentage in class X examination improved by 1.33 per cent this year. Similarly in class XII, 41.33 per cent students got first division, 34.82 students got second division and 0.32 per cent students got third division mark. 

In class X, Akshat Gopal of MP Hindu Inter College, Ramnagar, Nainital secured first rank in the merit list with 98.20 per cent marks. Similarly, Ishant Kothari of SVM Inter College Chinyalisaur, Uttarkashi and Bhumika of GB Pant Government Inter College, Khairna, Nainital got second position in merit with 98 per cent marks each. 

In the class XII, Geetika Pant of Saraswati Shishu Mandir Inter College Bageshwar and Shushila Mehendirata of Bhanjuram Amar Inter College, Udham Singh Nagar got first rank in merit with 98 per cent marks each. Aryan of Saraswati Vidya Inter College, Rishikesh secured second rank in the merit list with 97.80 per cent marks. 

 Among the districts of the State, Bageshwar stood out with a very good performance in class X and XII board examinations. In class XII 94.84 per cent students in the district passed the examination while in class X, 96.98 per cent students cleared the examination.
