Girl students passed with flying colours in the Uttarakhand Vidyalayi Shiksha Parishad (UVSP) results of the classes X and XII board examinations released on Saturday. The board chairman Mukul Sati announced that in class X, 90.77 per cent of students passed the exam, with a passing percentage of 88.20 per cent for boys and 93.25 per cent for girls. Similarly, in class XII, 83.23 per cent of students cleared the exam, with passing percentages of 80.10 per cent for boys and 86.20 per cent for girls.
Reflecting on the top achievers, Sati further informed that in class X, Kamal Singh Chauhan and Jatin Joshi from Bageshwar and Haldwani topped the state with a score of 99.20 per cent. Apart from this, Kanak Lata from New Tehri, Garhwal secured second position, while Divyam from Uttarkashi, Priya of Rudraprayag and Deepa Joshi from Udham Singh Nagar jointly secured third position in class X.
Additionally, Anushka Rana from Dehradun achieved the top position in the class XII exams with a score of 98.60 per cent. Keshav Bhatt from Dehradun and Komal Kumari from Uttarkashi jointly secured second position, while Ayush Singh Rawat from Rishikesh took third position.
The board further informed that 1,09859 students appeared for the high school exams, and 1,06345 students appeared for the intermediate board exams this year.
Additionally, this year, the overall result for the Intermediate was 0.60 per cent higher than last year, and the result for High School was 1.63 per cent higher than last year.
In response to the results, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami extended hearty congratulations and best wishes to all the students who passed the class X and Class XII board exams under UVSP. He expressed his hopes that all students continue to reach new heights of success. He also encouraged those who did not succeed this time, reminding them that failure is not the end but the beginning of a new resolution. He urged them to try again with confidence and determination.
