Give compulsory retirement to lax employees: CM to administration

The Uttarakhand government has decided to give compulsory retirement to employees who do not discharge their duties properly. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed the State administration to identify such employees who are irresponsible and careless towards their work. He gave the order while chairing a high level meeting with the senior officers at his residence on Friday.

On a stern note, the CM directed that strict action should be taken against those who have encroached government land and in many cases illegally occupying personal land of people in the State. He said that a special campaign should be launched for the arrest of wanted criminals involved in various crimes. 

 The CM directed that in view of the upcoming festival season, an intensive campaign should be launched to stop adulteration in food items and to stop electricity theft. He added that strict action should also be taken against those involved in food adulteration and power theft.

 The CM said that all the departments concerned should undertake regular campaigns for a drug-free Uttarakhand. He said that the Police should do regular intensive checking in the border areas of the State. Dhami directed that a list of criminals should be made under the NDPS Act and strict action should be taken against those involved in the drug trafficking.

 The CM also instructed the police to increase night patrolling and manage traffic properly. He directed the officers to make efforts to link the youth of the State with employment and provide them self-employment opportunities.

Home secretary Shailesh Bagoli, director general police Deepam Seth, secretary and Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey, ADGP  AP Anshuman and vice president MDDA Banshidhar Tiwari attended the meeting.
