Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Ganesh Godiyal has alleged corruption in the Atal Ayushman Yojana. In a statement on Saturday, Godiyal said that there are many private hospitals in the panels of Ayushman Yojana and Golden Card scheme (for the employees of the State government). He said that it has come to his notice that many private hospitals are refusing to treat patients under the scheme. “When I interacted with some of these private hospitals, it was disclosed that the State Health Agency, which operates the Ayushman and Golden card schemes in the State, has not cleared pending bills of these hospitals. This amount is in crores,” he said.
Godiyal claimed that it has also come to his notice that the State Health minister is seeking some consideration from these hospitals to clear their pending bills. He said that this is a very unfortunate situation for a State where the health services are already in shambles. Godiyal demanded that the both Central and State governments should take cognizance of the issue. He added that the pending bills of the private hospitals should be cleared without any further delay.
