In latest Uttarakhand news, the ace athlete from Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district Mansi Negi who has won the epithet of the ‘Golden Girl’ of Uttarakhand for her astounding performance in event after event in the realm of athletics has brought yet another laurel for the State as she has been selected for the World University Games slated to commence in Chengdu province of China on July 28. The games would continue till August 8. She has been selected for this prestigious athletic completion in the category of 20 km walking race. Notably, the event in which she will participate will be held on August 5. Presently, she is undergoing training at the national camp in Bengaluru. Her trainer and the State sports officer Anoop Bisht sounded happy on her selection.
