Governor, CM & others express grief on death of soldiers

The governor lieutenant general (retd) Gurmit Singh and chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami have expressed deep anguish and grief on the death of five soldiers from the State in a terrorist attack in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. In his message, the governor prayed for the peace of soul of the departed soldiers and wished speedy recovery to the injured. He said that the brave soldiers have followed the rich tradition of Uttarakhand in giving supreme sacrifice for the country. The governor said that the sacrifice of the soldiers cannot be described in words.
In his message, the CM prayed for peace for the souls of the martyrs and to give strength to the bereaved families. He said that the state government will provide every possible help to the families of the martyrs. Dhami said that the brave warriors of the State have sacrificed their lives for the motherland by following the rich military tradition of Uttarakhand. He added that the supreme sacrifice of the martyrs against terrorism while protecting the country will not go in vain. The CM said that terrorists who conducted the cowardly attack are the enemies of humanity and they will not be spared. Those who have given them shelter will also have to face the consequences, he added.
The leader of opposition (LoP) Yashpal Arya said four attacks in less than 48 hours on the army personnel in Kashmir is a major cause of concern. He offered tributes to the martyrs and wished speedy recovery for the injured in the terrorsit attack.
