Performs puja, offers prayer, inspects reconstruction project sites

In latest Uttarakhand news, the Governor Lieutenant General (Rtd) Gurmit Singh reached the revered Kedarnath shrine to pay obeisance to Lord Kedarnath. He performed puja and offered prayer for the collective welfare of the State, the country as well as the entire humanity. Thereafter, he conducted on-site inspection of the ongoing reconstruction and development works of the shrine premises. The Rudraprayag district magistrate apprised him of the stages through which the reconstruction/development works have been going on and also updated him about the remaining works. Earlier, the Governor met the shrine priests. Speaking of the special aura that the shrine emanates for the Shiva devotees, he said that the Lord is present everywhere in Kedarghati and one gets into deep meditative state once he or she steps into Kedarpuram.
