Governor inaugurates Dehradun science & technology festival-2024

Uttarakhand governor lieutenant general (Retd) Gurmit Singh inaugurated the 5th Dehradun international science and technology festival-2024 organized at Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technology University on Wednesday. More than 30 technical and scientific programmes will be organized in the four day long festival. The governor also visited the exhibition and encouraged the students by appreciating their projects.
Speaking on the occasion, the governor said that science and technology are the need of the hour and without accepting this fact, our progress and development is not possible.
“It is necessary to adapt ourselves according to the technological changes taking place with time. It is necessary that scientific outlook is developed in students from the school life itself. We should give special emphasis on innovation and research as well as skill based education,’’ he said.
The Governor exhorted the students to develop scientific consciousness and innovative thinking.
The Technical Education Minister Subodh Uniyal, vice chancellor UTU Omkar Singh, director general UCOST Durgesh Pant, Director USERC Anita Rawat and others attended the programme.
