Govt committed to increase employment opportunities – CM Dhami

The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said the state government is committed to increase employment and create self employment opportunities in Uttarakhand. The government has increased the upper age limit in the recruitment examinations by one year and has exempted the application fees for the applicants. The CM was addressing the youth in the Employment Fair in Haldwani on Tuesday. He said that the youth should take leadership roles in every sector and said that such fairs are providing employment opportunities. The CM said that there are 3700 registered home stays in the state which are giving employment to 8000 youngsters. He said that after a long time the state government has started a process to recruit 1764 posts in the police department. The CM said that the state government is providing a sum of Rs 50,000 to the youngsters preparing for the civil services, Union Public Service Commision (UPSC) and MBBS examinations. He said that the government is committed to promote ‘ vocal for local’ and the self help groups are being encouraged for it.
The fair was jointly inaugurated by CM Dhami, the parliamentary affairs and urban development minister Banshi Dhar Bhagat and health minister Dhan Singh Rawat.
In the fair the CM handed over appointment letters to 42 youngsters. A total of 35 companies participated in the fair and three companies conducted online interviews of 162 youth on the occasion. For the fair 1150 youngsters belonging to different districts of the state were registered.
The Mayor Joginder Pal Singh Rautela, president of district panchayat Bela Tolia and others were present on the occasion.
