Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s wife Geeta Dhami said that women welfare and security is a very important subject and the government is working appreciably for women empowerment.
Speaking in a programme after inaugurating a cultural event in Doon University, she said that though women form the backbone of society and preserve culture. She said that the State government is working to make the women of Uttarakhand the most powerful in the country.
The university’s vice chancellor Surekha Dangwal said that the present time is the period of skill development and empowerment of women.
