In latest news from Doon, the State tourism and irrigation minister Satpal Maharaj said that the departments concerned were now fully prepared to combat challenges the upcoming monsoon season might unleash. As part of the monsoon preparation initiative of the State government, he visited the PWD office in Yamuna Colony and reviewed the department’s work vis-à-vis the upcoming monsoon.
Earlier, he addressed a seminar on road safety and dam safety organised jointly by the PWD and irrigation departments. He directed the nodal officers to exercise maximum vigilance in taking on the potential challenges they might face in the ensuing rainy season.
