Ahead of the Monsoon session of Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha, the leader of opposition (LoP) Yashpal Arya has accused the State government of showing an insensitive attitude towards the disaster affected people. Arya visited Parwadi village located in the vicinity of the Bharadisain assembly building and met the family members of Himanshu Negi who is missing since July 31 from Gaurikund.
Narendra Singh Negi, the father of the missing youngster, told Arya that his son has been missing since July 31, the day of the recent disaster in Kedarnath. He said that a missing report was given in the Sonprayag police station on August 3 but the report was registered on August 12. The family members of Himanshu alleged that the administration is not giving any information about him.
Arya alleged that the State government has not put any information in public domain about the missing, injured and ill people in the Kedarnath disaster. He said that a large number of people from different parts of the country are arriving in Kedarnath in search of their missing family members and instead of helping them the State government is acting in an inhuman and insensitive manner towards them.
The Dwarahat MLA Madan Bisht and former MLA Manoj Rawat also accompanied Arya.
