The Uttarakhand government had decided to provide Rs 50,000 ex-gratia to the next of kin of each person who died due to Covid-19 in the state. In order to make the process for securing the ex-gratia in a simple and accessible manner, the state government has prepared the Apni Sarkar (eservices.uk.gov.in) portal. Applications can also be submitted online on this portal. Apart from the online mode, the next of kin of those who died from Covid-19 can submit their application along with all necessary documents in their nearest Tehsil, additional district magistrate or district magistrate office.
The state government has appealed to the citizens to submit their applications on the said portal of the offices specified at the earliest in case their family member has died from Covid-19. It is pertinent to mention here that according to the Health department, a total of 7,413 Covid deaths have been recorded in the state so far.
