CEO found school closed before scheduled time, apart from other dubious actions
The Pauri district chief education officer suspended the principal of government girls highèr primary school, Kandai in Thalisain block of the district on Saturday .The suspended principal Yashpal Singh Rawat has been attached to the office of the block education officer at Thalisain.
The chief education officer Anand Bharadwaj had conducted a surprise inspection of the school on Saturday and found that the school had closed before the scheduled time. The principal of the school was also found to be absent without authorisation. Bharadwaj told this correspondent that on inspection of the government girls higher primary school at Kandai on Saturday, he found that the school had been closed before the scheduled time and that the principal was absent from duty. Bharadwaj said that on inspection of the school, he also found various irregularities including financial irregularities, forged attendance of students shown in mid day meal register to conduct financial irregularities and, violation of RTE Act 2009. Closing the school before scheduled time has adverse effect on the students, he said.
The chief education officer has also instructed the block education officer of Beeronkhal to conduct an inquiry on the allegations of irregularities within the duration of twenty days.
