The State Health minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that the directorate of health services had sent notice to 118 absentee government doctors, directing them to present themselves before it within 14 days. He further said that they would be dismissed from service if they failed to account for their unauthorised absence and new doctors would be recruited to replace them.
Sources said that some of these doctors have remained absent since 2017.
