The State government has decided to provide a scholarship of Rs 5,000 per month to 50 poor but meritorious students of Government Colleges of the State for engaging in research works.
A decision in this regard was taken in a meeting of the officers of the Higher Education department held at the camp office of the Education and Health minister Dhan Singh Rawat.
Speaking on the occasion the minister said that the special focus on research based education is given in the National Educational Policy (NEP) -2020. He said that the State government has decided to develop research aptitude in the students by providing them scholarships.
