Rawat exhorts all to follow SOPs issued for protection from Covid-19
Expressing satisfaction at arrangements being made for the Kumbh Mela 2021 in Haridwar, chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that all should observe the standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued for the Kumbh. The CM said this while addressing the media during his visit to Haridwar on Wednesday.
Rawat said that all works related to national highways are almost complete and that these will help improve traffic movement. He said that Covid-19 pandemic has affected all spheres of life across the world. Welcoming pilgrims coming here for the Kumbh, he exhorted them to follow the SOPs, adding that only by keeping themselves safe can people keep others safe. The CM said that the construction of the base hospital here is also in its final stage. This hospital will ensure better medical facilities for the pilgrims.
Earlier, the CM also sought the blessings of members of the religious fraternity attending the Peshwai of Panchayati Akhada Shri Niranjani. He said that with the blessings of the sadhus, the government will succeed in organising a divine, grand and safe Kumbh Mela. The CM also visited the Panchdashnam Juna Bhairav Akhada, Shri Panch Agni Akhada and Panchayati Mahanirvani Akhada among others.
During his Haridwar visit, Rawat also inspected the various Kumbh Mela works. He visited the 150-bed base hospital nearing completion at Pawandham Bhupatwala.
