Graduation ceremony of ACC cadets held at IMA 68 cadet awarded degrees

In a ceremony presided over by the Commandant of Indian Military Academy (IMA) Lieutenant General Harinder Singh degrees were awarded to 68 cadets of Army Cadet College (ACC) at Khetarpal auditorium of IMA on Friday. In the ceremony which strictly adhered to Covid-19 regulations, the cadets were conferred degrees of the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. 

The Commandant, in his convocation address, congratulated the Course for successfully completing their challenging three years of training at the ACC Wing.  He said “I congratulate the passing out cadets for having crossed this milestone in their professional career. You are well worthy of this recognition after completing three years of rigorous training at the college and your graduation today, represents a major milestone in your professional growth and development. Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other and I am certain that you all will demonstrate the ability and desire to continue learning throughout your service.’’

The Commander of ACC wing Brigadier Shailesh Sati highlighted the dedication and commitment shown by the cadets during the course. He also appreciated the Cadets for their all round excellence despite prevailing Covid-19 restrictions.

 On the occasion, the Commandant’s Banner to the Champion Company was awarded to ‘ Kargil Company’.The banner is awarded to the company, which excels in various competitions like sports, academics, camps, debates and interior economy.  

The ACC has a rich history of training selected personnel from other ranks of all three Services who have the potential to become officers in the Indian Army. After three years of training at the Army Cadet College, the graduated course will join the Indian Military Academy for one year for their Pre-commissioning Training.
