Graphic Era Hospital claims to successfully treat 2 cancer cases using Laparoscopic Surgery

Graphic Era Hospital claimed that its specialists have successfully treated two cases of cancer endometrium using Laparoscopic Surgery. Two women aged 53 and 66 years were diagnosed with early stage cancer endometrium at Graphic Era Hospital. The team of specialists achieved success in treating cancer in both the patients, the hospital officials said, adding that the procedure included laparoscopic type A radical hysterectomy, bilateral salphingooophorectomy and bilateral lymph node dissection. The team of specialists included Dr Anoosha K Ravi and doctors from Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Dr Ravi said that Laparoscopic Surgery is a minimally invasive surgical procedure. “A special equipment is used to precisely remove the cancer affected area. In this, the patient experiences less pain with minimum complications and faster recovery,” the doctor added.
