Green card & trip card must for ferrying Char Dham pilgrims

The Transport nodal officer of Char Dham Yatra Sunil Sharma said that the vehicles which will ferry pilgrims to Char Dhams must have green cards to be made at any of the ARTO offices. Notably, the annual pilgrimage is beginning on April 30 with the opening of the portals of Gangotri and Yamunotri. Aside from the green cards, the operators of such vehicles must have trip cards. “No vehicle will be allowed to transport pilgrims sans these two cards,” Sharma said, adding that the trip card would be valid for 10 days for the vehicles which will come from other states.
He further said that green cards could be uploaded on greencard.uk.gov.in Following uploading, the vehicle owners will have to deposit user charges- Rs 600 for big and Rs 400 for small vehicles.
