Taking strong exception to the guard of honour given to the BJP state president Madan Kaushik in Bageshwar on Monday, the Uttarakhand Congress has demanded punitive action on the officials responsible for the fiasco. The party has also questioned the use of state government helicopter by Kaushik.
The spokesperson of Uttarakhand Congress party and member of All India Congress Committee (AICC) Garima Dasauni said that it appears Kaushik has forgotten the fact that he is not a cabinet minister now. “He is using state government helicopter and receiving guard of honour for which he is not eligible as he is president of BJP now,’’ she said.
Dasauni added that the state government should take immediate cognizance of these things and take action against who are responsible.
