Gurukul Kangri gets AICTE approval for new MTech and BTech programmes

The Gurukul Kangri (Deemed to be University’s Faculty of Engineering and Technology has secured approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to launch new M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) for working professionals programmes. University officials said that the development will significantly enhance the academic and professional landscape for students in Uttarakhand, offering them advanced opportunities to improve their skills, learn cutting-edge technologies, and secure promising job prospects.
Head of the department, Mayank Aggarwal said, “This approval marks a new era for our institution, enabling us to provide more diverse and advanced educational opportunities to our students. Our new programs are designed to equip students with the necessary skills to excel in the rapidly evolving tech industry.”
Dean Vipul Sharma also congratulated the faculty and staff, acknowledging their hard work and dedication in making this vision a reality. “This is a proud moment for us all. The introduction of these programs will not only benefit our current and prospective students but will also contribute to the growth of the tech ecosystem in Uttarakhand,” he remarked. He also added that as aper AICTE policy , students with valid GATE score taking admissions in M.Tech shall be eligible for scholarship from AICTE, as per AICTE norms.
Registrar Sunil Kumar and Vice-Chancellor Ambuj Sharma extended their heartfelt gratitude to AICTE for their support and approval. “We are deeply grateful to AICTE for recognizing our efforts and granting us itthe approval to start these innovative programs. This will undoubtedly open new avenues for our students and foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development,” they stated.
Officials said that with these new programmes, the faculty of Engineering and Technology reaffirms its commitment to providing high-quality education and fostering an environment that encourages innovation and excellence. The MTech (CSE) and BTech (CSE-Working Professional) programmes are set to commence in the upcoming academic session, with admissions opening soon.
