In latest news from Uttarakhand, the Governor Lt Gen (Retd) Gurmit Singh visited Kedarnath shrine and offered puja. Also, he reviewed the development works continuing under Kedarnath master plan. He was received at the helipad by the district magistrate Saurabh Gahawar and other senior administrative and police officials. He said that over 43 lakh people had visited the Char Dham this season so far. He appreciated the prompt efforts made by different departments to ease things for pilgrims once challenges arose.
