In latest news from Uttarakhand, 32-year-old Sumit Gupta, resident of Rampur Road, Haldwani, was held with hashish weighing 2 kg 14 gm by a joint team of Transit Camp police station and anti-narcotics task force from Kanchan Tara Road in Rudrapur during a vehicle checking drive.
During interrogation, Sumit told police that he had collected the narcotics from his cousin Subham Gupta, a trader residing in Rampur Road, Haldwani.
After a case was registered, Sumit was produced before court.
