Hanol master plan to boost pilgrimage & employment in Jaunsar-Bawar, says Dhami

State government also developing Yamuna Dham and Haripurnagar in Vikasnagar

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the State government has initiated important steps to further develop the Jaunsar-Bawar area of Dehradun district. Stating that a Rs 120 crore provision has been made for reconstruction work in the Mahasu Devta Mandir compound in the area, he said that implementation of the master plan for the Hanol area will enhance pilgrimage and employment opportunities.
Speaking at an event held at Tyun in the region on Sunday, the CM said that the master plan for Hanol will be expanded as per the requirements. “This is just the start of the master plan. The effective implementation of the Hanol master plan will bring about major prosperity in this region. This entire region is also Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s priority.
A large number of devotees will visit this area in the future and this will also generate new employment opportunities. The number of people visiting Kedarkhand and Manaskhand is rising consistently. The State government is also developing Yamuna Dham and Haripurnagar in the Vikasnagar region,” the CM said.
Dhami said that the State government has initiated important works including various developmental projects to establish Janusar-Bawar on the global platform. The government is working on development while also taking the heritage forward, he said.
Referring to the recently concluded Vidhan Sabha session, he said that various historic works had been done during it. “Our lands and resources were being tampered with for a long time. Some people were tampering with our demography and roots. Based on the demand of the people, the government brought a strong land law in the Vidhan Sabha this time.We have fulfilled all the promises we have made to the people of the State,” the CM claimed.
Stating that Uttarakhand is being talked about for various reasons across the nation, Dhami said that the State had been ranked first in the list of sustainable development goals released by the NITI Aayog. The unemployment rate has dropped by 4.4 per cent during the past one year. The State is moving ahead in the ease of doing business, startups, innovations and other spheres.
The CM also talked about the various welfare schemes being undertaken by the State government including those aimed at the financial and social empowerment of women. “The State government is encouraging development in all sectors. We will work to ensure similar development across the State from Arakot to Askot, from Niti to Mana and from Chakrata to Gunji,” the CM added.
Vikasnagar MLA Munna Singh Chauhan, Purola MLA Durgeshwar Lal and other public representatives and officials were also present on the occasion.
