Video of their conversation circulated on social media

In latest Dehradun news, the conversation on phone between the State cabinet minister and Rishikesh MLA Prem Chand Agarwal and the veteran Congress leader Harak Singh Rawat being made viral on the social media platforms has sparked speculation in political circles. The conversation though pertained to the demolition of the residential buildings situated in IDPL Colony in Rishikesh. The Opposition leader requested Agarwal to keep on hold the IDPL Colony demolition operation. However, what imparted added interest to the viral audio-video was the fact that Harak was seen giving Agarwal tips on the art of political machinations. After the audio-video was made viral, Agarwal, when asked for his reaction, dubbed Harak Singh Rawat as a traitor who deserted the BJP on the eve of the 2022 State Assembly election and returned to his old party Congress to reap cheap political benefits.
