PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the ability, hard work, experience and dedication of the workers of BJP has made the party invincible. He was addressing a meeting of different cells of the State unit of the party here on Wednesday.

In the meeting the CM exhorted the different cells of the party to take the works of the government to every section of the society.

“The BJP is a vibrant ideology committed to nation-building. Today, we have various cells working in various fields, including medical, cooperative, cultural, business, disaster management, tourism and sports. The key difference between the BJP and other political parties is that other parties only seek votes during elections. We work 365 days a year to serve every segment of society. BJP considers politics not a means to power, but a means of service,’’ he said.

The CM asked the coordinators of the Disaster Management Cell to create a team of young people at the block level who would become ‘first responders’ in times of disaster.

Emphasising on the importance of the tourism cell of the party, Dhami said that Uttarakhand is emerging as the spiritual capital of the world. He said that this year, the Char Dham Yatra has shattered all records and more than 45,000 people have visited Adi Kailash within 45 days. He said it is the responsibility of the Tourism Cell to guide local youth in this regard.

He also urged all other cells to become effective vehicles for service, organization and public awareness by understanding society’s expectations, challenges and needs in their respective areas of work.

Targeting the Congress party, the CM said that while the State government is working on development front, the opposition is engaged in negativity, appeasement and corruption politics. “ We want to assure the people that as the BJP is in power in Uttarakhand, its demography will not be allowed to change and illegal encroachments will not be tolerated,’’ he said.

In his address, the State party president Mahendra Bhatt directed all cells to quickly complete the formation of their teams. “Everyone associated with the cell must reach the grassroots level in society and achieve the goal of making the lotus bloom at every booth,’’ he said.
