75 arrested, Rs 3.5 lakh collected as fines

With the char dham yatra continuing, the Haridwar police have been conducting operations under Mission Maryada under the instructions of the district SSP Ajay Singh. The police are taking actions against those who are found creating trouble or boozing and smoking hookaa in the holy city.
It is learnt that the Haridwar police have taken legal actions against 1293 persons in a week for indulging in unlawful activities. Among them are 75 persons whom the police have arrested. Moreover, police have collected fines worth Rs 3.5 lakh from those arrested.
