In view of the cold wave condition prevailing in the district, the Haridwar district administration has declared closure of all government/aided/recognised and private schools till class XII and the anganwadi centres on Wednesday.
The order issued on Tuesday in the name of the district magistrate Dhiraj Singh Garbyal cited the India Meteorological Department-issued yellow alert of cold wave and dense fog for Haridwar district for five days as the reason behind its school closure decision.
