The Uttarakhand unit of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has termed the ongoing dharna of former chief minister Harish Rawat at the Bahadarabad police station in Haridwar as a political drama.
The State spokesperson of AAP and media in charge of Garhwal region, Ravindra Singh Anand said that Rawat has a habit of doing things to attract attention of people. He claimed that Rawat is doing this drama to save his losing grip on politics.
Anand said that Rawat has set his eyes on Haridwar Lok Sabha constituency in 2024 but senior leader Harak Singh Rawat is also planning to contest from there.
The AAP leader said Harish Rawat is planning to take advantage of the fact that his daughter is a MLA from Haridwar rural constituency.
