HC seeks replies from NIT Srinagar director & others

The Uttarakhand High Court has ordered a stay on the process of recruitment to the post of deputy registrar of National Institute of Technology, Srinagar held from March 17 to 19. Regarding the allegations of irregularities, the court has issued notices to the institute’s director and members of the selection committee, directing them to submit their reply in the court.

According to the case details, the NIT Srinagar assistant registrar Vinita Negi Panwar had filed a petition stating that she had been barred by the institute’s director from participating in the online written examination for recruitment to the post of the deputy registrar. She has also leveled other allegations.  Hearing the matter, the division bench of chief justice Vipin Sanghi and justice Alok Kumar Verma has sought replies from the institute director Lalit Kumar Awasthi and others.
