Health department gets 34 new X-ray technicians

The State Health department now has the services of 34 new X- ray technicians. The officiating director general of the State Health and Family Welfare department Dr Sunita Tamta said that the minister of the department Dhan Singh Rawat consistently reviews the functioning of the department and it has helped in giving an impetus to the recruitment process on the vacant posts.

She said that the department had sent a recruitment requisition to the Uttarakhand Medical Services Selection board for recruitment of 34 X-ray technicians. The board has released the result and handed over the list of the selected candidates to the department. Dr Tamta said that these candidates will be deployed in the hospitals located in mountainous areas. She said that their deployment will help in improving the services in the X-ray, ultrasound and CT scan facilities. 

The officiating DG said that the UMSSB has also released the result of 31 nursing tutors for the government medical colleges and seven medical social workers (MSW).

 The director of Medical Education, Dr Ashutosh Sayana said that the appointment of new nursing tutors will help in strengthening the teaching activity in the government medical colleges of the State. He said that the MSWs will also be appointed in different medical colleges of the State.
