Health Dept issues advisory in 12 languages for Char-Dham Yatra

The Health department has issued an advisory to the pilgrims on their health safety during the upcoming Char Dham Yatra. Health secretary R Rajesh Kumar said that the department has issued the advisory in 12 regional languages.
He said that letters have been sent to chief secretaries of all the States in which they have been requested to make proper publicity about the pre-travel health check-up, precautions and medical preparedness. Kumar said that the pilgrims had to face harsh climatic conditions and low levels of oxygen while travelling to Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri so the pilgrims should come prepared and should undergo health checkup before the Yatra.
He said that help to the pilgrims will be ensured at screening points, emergency services and helipads during the Yatra.
He said that on the orders of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Health minister Dhan Singh Rawat, the department is committed to make Char Dham Yatra-2025, safe and accessible for the pilgrims. The department has made arrangements of doctors, medicines, oxygen cylinder and medical staff during the Yatra.
The department will set up health ATMs and provide telemedicine facilities to the pilgrims during the Yatra.
