Health Dept plants 90 saplings on Harela

The Health department planted 90 saplings at Ranipokhri on Tuesday to mark the occasion of Harela. Regarding this, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr Sanjay Jain stated that the Harela Festival is a celebration of the folk culture of Uttarakhand, which also emphasised our responsibility towards nature and environmental protection. He said that they had planted the saplings with the intention of public welfare and in alignment with the principle of “Sarve Santu Niramaya”. Trees were also planted at the district hospital and Char Dham transit hospital in Rishikesh to commemorate the Harela festival.
