The State Health department will launch the fourth phase of the ‘You Quote We Pay’ scheme for the recruitment of the specialist doctors in the health services. This decision was taken in the 38th meeting of the executive of the health and family welfare committee at the State secretariat on Friday. The meeting was chaired by the secretary, health, R Rajesh Kumar. He said that under the scheme recruitment of surgeons, gynaecologists, radiologists, orthopaedics, anaesthetists, pathologists, paediatricians and psychologists will be done. These specialists’ doctors will be deployed in the hospitals of the border districts. In the meeting the long pending demand of the workers of the National Health Mission (NHM) on the child care leaves, paternity leave and adopted child care leave was accepted.
Kumar said that these benefits will be granted as per the regulations of the state administration. He said that the quality checkups of the free pathology test scheme will be done. The Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) will conduct the quality check in the Garhwal cluster while the Haldwani medical college will do the check of the Kumaon cluster.
The meeting was attended by mission director of NHM Swati Bhadauria, additional secretary of health Amandeep Kaur, director of health Dr Sunita Tamta, officer in- charge Dr Amit Shukla and others.
